About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Application Support Analyst to join our Application Support team. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills while supporting business-critical applications. You will work alongside experienced analysts, assisting with incident resolution, application monitoring, documentation, and user support.

What will you be doing?

  • Assist with the triage and resolution of application support incidents.
  • Monitor application health and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Provide first-line support and guidance to end users.
  • Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles and procedural guides.
  • Assist with software deployments and post-release validation checks.
  • Work closely with colleagues across IT and business teams to resolve issues.
  • Follow security, compliance and change management processes.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems and software applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • A willingness to learn ITIL support processes and best practices.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Relevant IT qualification, degree, apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Exposure to helpdesk, service desk or application support environments.
  • Awareness of testing practices and software development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems and monitoring tools.
